I feel so cool labeling my journal entries, makes me feel like the legit author that maybe one day i can be. Regardless, through my talks with my wonderful gf, through watching countless hours of youtube videos, just sitting and staring at a wall ( a luxury of either the rich or the broken) and sometimes just drunken contemplation.  It isn't always bad to ask the question why. I know i don't use my journals as alot of others do. Mine are not always status updates, but more little notes into either my own psyche or the psyche of art in my own mind or just random craziness. whatever is clever right? Some artists start off with the darkest colors, and move towards the light, and others work from the lightest to the dark, while yet still others still work from the middle filling out both ends as they go. I have always been a darkness to the light. You can search the psychology all you want, i'm sure there are some good points in there somewhere, but we are on DA, no a college course lecture room, though i guess i am on display here as it is public. Someone who i have been working with trading what are known as "artcards", which i had never heard of until then, i have learned alot. The latest piece i worked on, i did my best not to use hard lines, or defining lines, just soft edges and outlines of color. Working from light to dark. It still has my unique flavor or style, as maybe only i can see, or someone who looks at alot of my work, but it does change the way the piece works. This has helped me learn a bit about the work that i do, and maybe teaches me that if i want to create something that looks a certain way, instead of just creating from what i feel, i can do it. idk, just random thought and insight. A bit of brain thoughts. If you work one way, try working the other way and see how you feel afterwards. I am of the opinion that you should do your work for just you, unless of course you are getting paid for it or unless it is your job, then you don't have a whole lot of say. you can still work your magic, you got the job for a reason. I just work because i feel like it, and it makes me feel good in it's own way. I get to let a bit of feeling out that doesn't require words, and that words cannot say. (( of course i about have a heart attack because the cat just walked across the keyboard while i'm typing and changes the whole screen making this page turn into something else, but luckily the "back" function on the browser brings me back here and all my words are still here. best of luck to all of you. If you read this, right on. If not, well, you didn't make it this far so best of luck all the same.))

Couldn't have done this with out cheekythalia from a conversation about traditional art. Working from the lightest colors down to the darkest using the darkest to make the details. Of course, my lovely cat Valdavos gets credit for all of the mistakes as she has decided that it is her job to steal the stylus from my hand and run away with it while i work. "PAY ATTENTION TO ME DADDY, WE PLAY FETCH WITH OTHER PENS, LETS DO THAT WITH YOUR PRECIOUS STYLUS" lol. and yes, she does play fetch. She also drinks Tequilla, and is currently mauling my bamboo...i might need a new one soon. go fund me page?

All knowledge is worth having. The very best of artists court madness in every waking moment only to be torn by their demons when Great Hypnose comes to call. I live in the midwest and have for most of my life aside from my travel abroad which took me to a few diff countries and many dark nights.
